Radon or mould in suspended foundation

Supply and exhaust air ventilation of suspended foundation (FTX) (crawl space)

Poorly ventilated suspended foundations are a hotbed for mold and mildew. If there also is ground radon under the property the ventilation it is a must. The solution is mechanical ventilation with a fan. But even here there are risks; To ventilate the foundation during the winter may lead to cold floors, reduced comfort and increase the heating costs, because the heat under the house continuously is drained off. In summer, it may instead be too hot so that mold thrives.

Thanks to our suspended foundation unit TERU, with heating or cooling recovery, it's possible to increase the ventilation under the property and obtain the right temperature and humidity in the suspended foundation during both winter and summer! With a temperature efficiency of approx. 80% the air is change while retaining most of the heat during winter, and also the cold during the summer, to prevent mold formation.
